Job summary

East of England Community Health & Care NHS Trust is seeking a safeguarding lead to develop and lead defined areas of safeguarding practice in partnership with the Named Nurse and Head of Safeguarding. You will provide expert safeguarding advice, supervision to frontline staff, and contribute to safeguarding governance, training, and multi-agency working across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

The role also involves supporting the MASH, contributing to audits, and aligning Think Family

Responsibilities

• Lead on development of defined areas of safeguarding practice as determined by Named Nurses and Head of Safeguarding.
• Provide safeguarding advice and supervision to frontline staff working with children, young people and their families.
• Support the safeguarding team in MASH and participate in multi-agency safeguarding activities.
• Contribute to safeguarding training strategy, audits and relevant policy development.
• Ensure robust information sharing, governance, and escalation procedures across the Trust.
