Job summary

Velindre Cancer Centre in Wales is seeking a Lead SACT ACP to provide strategic and professional leadership for the Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy ACP workforce. You will oversee ACPs and Trainee ACPs, drive service transformation ahead of the new Velindre Cancer Centre, and champion innovative, evidence-based practice across cancer services.

The role emphasises governance, competency assessment, portfolio review and ensuring safe, high-quality care within national frameworks.

Qualifications

Experience in advanced clinical practice leadership within cancer services.
Ability to supervise ACPs and Trainee ACPs and support career progression.
Experience leading service transformation and workforce governance.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the SACT ACP and Trainee ACP workforce with supervision and development.
Drive service transformation initiatives and new care models for the move to nVCC.
Champion advanced clinical practice, quality improvement, and research.
Ensure safe ACP practice and alignment with professional standards.
Oversee ACP governance, portfolio reviews, competency assessment and development.
Provide assurance on ACP capability and compliance with national frameworks.
Support workforce intelligence, reporting and regional/ multidisciplinary governance.
