Job summary

Animal Trust (UK) is seeking a confident veterinary nurse to take the lead in caring for patients across both first opinion and referral sides of the hospital. You will be supported by a talented RVN team to ensure every patient receives the very best care, with emphasis on inpatient and ECC care where applicable.

The role may involve monitoring anaesthetics occasionally and requires excellent communication in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse required.
• ECC or medical nursing certification advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead in caring for patients across first opinion and referral sides of the hospital.
• Support patients through treatment and recovery with a skilled team.
• Monitor anaesthetics when required.
• Manage CRIs and indwelling catheters as needed.
• Handle a wide variety of complex medical and surgical cases.
