Based in Cambridge, this unique and very exciting opportunity with a Global Leader in their field is looking for a Lead RF Propagation System Design Engineer. Security Clearance may be required; however, there are also other RF opportunities that don’t require clearance, so don’t be put off applying if you have knowledge in RF Propagation or RF Reference Design.

The Lead RF Propagation Engineer will join an established team of commercial and technical leaders working with clients to deliver projects into the Defence and Security sector. The role involves architecting a range of standards-based and fully custom radio systems for various applications, including low power long-range systems and highly flexible high-performance software-defined systems. The work requires significant collaboration with clients to develop innovative solutions for challenging and unique requirements.

The successful candidate will have a relevant Degree with a strong understanding of RF Design principles, primarily RF Propagation.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Be a subject matter expert in RF communication systems.
  2. Collaborate with the team to contribute to bids and project delivery.
  3. Maintain strong technical relationships with key individuals within client and potential client organizations to facilitate further sales opportunities.
  4. Apply excellent radio engineering skills and experience.
  5. Demonstrate a passion for innovative technology solutions and solving complex problems.
  6. Understand client priorities and needs.
  7. Experience working with clients in the UK Defence & Security sector.
