Job summary

Forefront RF in Cambridge, UK, is seeking an experienced RF Lead Engineer to drive the design, development and delivery of RF subsystems within a defined architecture. This hands-on role combines deep RF expertise with team leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration to meet performance, quality and schedule requirements.

You will own subsystem performance, run design reviews, simulate and validate circuits (LNAs, PAs, filters, duplexers), define test plans and analyze

Qualifications

Degree in RF Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or related field
Strong hands-on RF design experience across relevant frequency ranges
Proven experience leading RF technical delivery on complex projects
Solid understanding of RF theory, measurements, and practical implementation
Experience with RF simulation and design tools (ADS, AWR, CST, HFSS)
Proficient with RF test equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters)

Responsibilities

Lead RF design activities across projects in line with system requirements and architecture
Own subsystem performance, implementation and technical delivery
Lead design reviews and provide technical approval for RF designs
Define and execute RF test plans and verification activities
Analyse RF measurements (S-parameters, NF, phase noise, EVM, ACPR)
Lead troubleshooting of RF performance issues
Mentor RF engineers and promote best practices
Collaborate with System Architect and cross-functional teams
