A healthcare provider in Bournemouth is seeking a Lead Respiratory Specialist Nurse to deliver safe respiratory nursing care. Shore Medical is seeking a Lead Respiratory Specialist Nurse to deliver safe and effective respiratory nursing care to the whole practice respiratory population, working collaboratively with the whole PCN team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of policy and procedures and provide direction to colleagues.
Job Type: Permanent Full Time. Roaming role working across all Shore sites
Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday

We offer:
To have a high level of knowledge of Respiratory Disease (Asthma, COPD) and to have undertaken the relevant Diploma or educational courses to ensure effective competency within the role.
To deliver Respiratory services to patients, ensuring that the needs of the patient are paramount and provide liaison between primary and secondary care in relation to area of responsibility.
To attend regular educational updates/ refreshers to maintain current clinical knowledge and manage conditions in line with relevant national and local guidelines.
To provide a holistic approach to assessment and actively encourage patients to set action plans for change of lifestyle to improve conditions.
To be ARTP Registered and competent in the undertaking of investigatory tests i.e. Spirometry & peak flow and understand the results of investigations to be able to diagnose or to manage condition.
