Job summary

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Respiratory Physiotherapist with a passion for Acute Neurological Sciences to lead and develop the Respiratory Physiotherapy Team.

This role combines high-level clinical practice with operational leadership, supporting audit, research and CPD, and working within a collaborative team across Fazakerley, Liverpool. A demanding workload requires outstanding organisational, leadership and educational skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy.
• Health & Care Professions Council Registration.
• Evidence of attendance at relevant postgraduate courses and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a complex clinical caseload within the service.
• Lead the critical care/respiratory physiotherapy service with evidence-based care.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to develop services and assure quality of care.
• Provide clinical education and training to physiotherapy staff and other health professionals.
• Support audit, research and ongoing professional development for self and team.
• Support a 7-day working rota including on-call, weekends and extended hours.
