Job summary

Resicare Alliance LTD in Birmingham is seeking a Team Leader to guide a team of Residential Support Workers in delivering safe, child-centred care to children and young people in our residential home.

You will work with the Deputy and Registered Manager, conduct supervisions, manage safeguarding, and contribute to care planning. The role suits experienced practitioners with leadership potential or those stepping into a Team Leader role.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS check valid for working with children and young people.
• Ability to lead, supervise and motivate a team while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise Residential Support Workers with guidance and supervision.
• Conduct regular supervisions and performance reviews.
• Model professional, reflective and consistent practice for the team.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and training of new staff.
• Support rota planning to meet children's care needs.
• Deliver high-quality, child-centred care with the team.
• Maintain safeguarding culture and manage care plans and risk assessments.
