Job description

Arthur is delighted to be supporting a global carrier for a senior opportunity within their actuarial reserving team. You will support the Chief Reserving Actuary and be responsible for leading the reserving process for casualty and specialty lines. The role involves providing independent reserve estimates, communicating key findings to leadership, and supporting the business with portfolio insight to inform underwriting and strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the quarterly reserving analysis for casualty and specialityportfolios and present findings to senior management.
• Deliver objective and technically grounded reserve reviews, offering insight to improve business outcomes.
• Identify trends, emerging risks and uncertainties, and propose timely recommendations.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and business actuarial teams to align on profitability and risk at a product, industry and regional level.
• Contribute to group-wide initiatives, including reserving process improvements and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:
• Qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Strong reserving background in the London Market, particularly across casualty and specialitylines.
• Experience in delivering reserve analyses and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Sound judgement, commercial awareness, and an ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
