Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Reporting Sonographer to join the Ultrasound team. The role involves independently acquiring and interpreting diagnostic ultrasound images, and issuing reports to referring clinicians, with duties across acute and elective general ultrasound and obstetric work.

We operate across Torbay and Newton Abbot sites with a 7-day service including weekends and Bank Holidays; the team values clinical leadership, teaching, and high-quality

Qualifications

• Qualified Reporting Sonographer.
• Experience in diagnostic ultrasound reporting preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and interpret diagnostic ultrasound images.
• Issue clinical reports to referring clinicians.
• Perform acute and elective general ultrasound scans and obstetric work.
• Work on a 7-day service including weekends and bank holidays.
• Collaborate with Radiology support staff, lead sonographer and consultants.
