Lead / Relief LGV C+E Driver - based Birmingham (Potential to upskill to a Driver Trainer Role!!)

Pay Rate: £34,250 based on a 40 hour week (£16.46 per hour) Overtime paid at £24.70 per hour - Genuine Potential to Earn £43,000 per annum
Grade: RCS P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday - no weekend or bank holiday working - occasional nights out required
Location: Based at home - mileage paid to 4 locations as required Bilston, West Bromwich, Perry Barr and Solihull

We're now looking for an LGV C+E (HGV Class 1) Relief Cover Driver to cover holiday and sickness across 4 sites: Bilston, West Bromwich, Perry Barr and Solihull

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Working on a variety of contracts Crown Lift Trucks (Perry Barr) Class 1, delivering and collecting Fork Lift Trucks, Hub Le Bas (Bilston) Class 2, delivering steel stock to factories (some nights out)
• Le Grand (West Bromwich) Class 1 and 2, delivering aluminium cable trunking or Porcelanosa (Solihull) Class 2, delivering ceramic tiles
• Flexibility is the key and the roles is varied and offers future progression to become a Driver Trainer for DHL Supply Chain
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Manual handling of customer products

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Potential to earn in excess of £43,000 per annum as a Driver Trainer for a 45 hour week
• Flexibility to driver various categories of LGV vehicles
• MUST be flexible to nights out as and when required
• Ideally have some Fork Lift experience for delivery and collection purposes
• MUST have 12 months recent driving experience
• MUST be able to cover locations at Perry Barr, West Bromwich, Bilston and Solihull - mileage paid to depots
• Ideally the successful candidate will be looking to progress to a Driver Trainer role
