Lead Radiographer – Community Diagnostic Centre

Stourbridge

37.5 hours – 4 day week

We are proud to be exclusively working with a private diagnostic provider in search of a Lead Radiographer to join their team in the CDC based in the west midlands area.

We are working with a dynamic and innovative medical charity who deliver first class diagnostic imaging services that predominately serve the NHS nationwide through dedicated imaging centres and their mobile fleet. This role is based within a new CDC providing CT and MRI scanning services for an NHS hospital.

What are we looking for?

  • HCPC Registration.
  • BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
  • UK based experience is essential.
  • Theoretical and clinical CT and/or MRI skills is essential
  • Previous experience in a Lead role is beneficial, however we can consider a candidate looking to step into a lead role.
  • Previous line management/supervisory experience is desired.
  • Ideally RPS trained, however training can be provided.
  • Knowledge of local rules, clinical governance and SOPS.
  • Flexibility to support service demands.

Responsibilities

  • To provide clinical leadership to the imaging department.
  • Maintaining partnership with the NHS hospital and other stakeholders.
  • Leading imaging quality standards to meet QSI and ISO accreditation for the imaging centre.
  • Supporting the Director of Clinical Operations in carrying out duties as a registered CQC manager.
  • Supporting with external visits from the trust, QSI and CQC inspectors.
  • Maintain relevant document records for inspections by external accreditation bodies.
  • To develop, introduce and ensure adherence to policies and procedures in line with local rules.
  • Radiation protection supervisor of the centre providing support and guidance for junior staff.
  • Support training and development of programs for staff as well as successful completion of competency assessments.
  • IR(ME)R and MRI safety is met.
  • 70% Clinical – 30% operational duties.

Working Hours

This is a full-time permanent position covering 37.5 hours across a 4 day working week. The service operates Monday to Friday 08:00 – 20:00. You will also be required to participate in a telephone based on call rota. Potential weekend shift work requirement in an event of absence.
