Job summary

PsiQuantum is seeking a senior researcher to advance fault-tolerant quantum algorithms and their practical resource estimates. You will translate research into concrete algorithms and work with the Compilation team to map them to our photonic architecture.

You will lead programs spanning applications, architecture, and compilation, collaborating with partners in academia and industry to tackle real-world quantum challenges and drive open-ended research directions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of research experience in quantum computing (algorithms or applications).
• Experience with quantum algorithms and compiling, especially for fault-tolerant gates.
• Proven ability to collaborate with academia or industry partners across timezones.

Responsibilities

• Propose initiatives for research and development of fault-tolerant quantum algorithms.
• Lead collaboration with external partners to implement and optimize quantum algorithms.
• Define benchmarks and problem instances to validate post-classicality of algorithms.
• Analyze resource requirements for fault-tolerant implementations on photonic quantum computers.
