Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Manager, Quantitative Research & Development to lead the development of quantitative research platforms and analytics for equities and multi-asset strategies. You will work with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver innovative index capabilities and investment solutions.

The role emphasizes ownership, rapid prioritisation, and strong collaboration with Research, Engineering, Technology, Data Operations and Sales.

Qualifications

• Approx. 10 years of experience spanning quantitative research, development, analytics or related disciplines.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, experience with CI/CD, cloud computing and modern software practices.
• Solid understanding of equity markets and quantitative techniques including regression, factor investing and risk modelling.
• Experience with financial data platforms such as Worldscope, IBES, Lipper, Datastream and Refinitiv Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quantitative research, analytics and automation platforms.
• Build AI-enabled workflows, tools and agents to improve research, operational efficiency and client support.
• Support quantitative research initiatives, investment analytics and index-methodology development.
• Investigate and resolve complex data, analytics and operational issues with high quality standards.
• Drive improvements in research infrastructure, development processes and cloud-based solutions.
• Collaborate with Research, Engineering, Technology, Product, Data Operations and Sales to meet business objectives.
• Provide analytical support and respond to internal and external enquiries on data, methodologies and capabilities.
• Contribute across the full lifecycle from idea generation to deployment and client-facing delivery.
