About us:

Founded in 1977, specializing in precision grinding, and now offering extensive CNC turning, milling, and grinding facilities. With EN9100 (AS9100) Aerospace accreditation, we manufacture parts and sub-assemblies for sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport (including Formula 1), Food/Scientific, and Medical.

Position: Hands-on Lead Quality Inspector

Due to growing demand, we seek an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Inspection Department team, ensuring efficiency and meeting production and delivery targets.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections for First off, Patrol, and Final inspection of components.
• Report non-conformances per NCR procedures.
• Prepare inspection reports including FAIRs.
• Assist with root cause analysis and problem-solving on the shop floor.
• Perform related activities as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a subcontract CNC manufacturing environment.
• Leadership skills: initiative, organization, motivation.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
• Experience with CMM operation; programming is a plus.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, and Verniers.
• Process-driven with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive team player committed to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of EN9100 (AS9100) Rev D standards.

Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm, Friday 7:30am-1:00pm.

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience, with overtime at time and a half.
