Quality Auditor Lead

Major Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor Lead to join our client's manufacturing site near Leicester.

The primary role of the Quality Auditor Lead is to provide professional and effective support to the factory concerning technical and quality issues. The Technical Services Officer will be responsible for maintaining retailer accreditation standards, ensuring food safety standards, staff training, and implementing HACCP & Quality Management System procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain food safety records/files, including knife, toolbox, weight control, and glass control.
  2. Maintain traceability records for purchased ingredients (COC's/COA's).
  3. Manage supplier documentation (specifications, Third Party Accreditation Certificates, etc.).
  4. Handle customer & supplier documentation requests.
  5. Collaborate with Department Heads to keep working procedures up to date.
  6. Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions.
  7. Ensure document review procedures are followed.
  8. Liaise with Pest Control and Cleaning Contractors, ensuring recommendations are implemented and records maintained.
  9. Audit cleaning operations to improve standards continually.
  10. Develop and implement food safety training programs.
  11. Assist the Factory Manager with health & safety training programs as needed.

  • Salary up to £33,000 plus bonus

Skills required:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues effectively
  • Experience with BRCG standards
  • Experience with QMS systems
Qualifications:
  • HACCP Level 3 (Level 4 desirable)
  • Level 3 Food Safety (Level 4 desirable)
