The Role

A rapidly expanding Web3 scale-up is seeking a Hands-on Lead QA Engineer to drive the security, performance, and quality assurance of its blockchain-based solutions.

As the Lead QA Engineer, you will define and implement a high-impact quality assurance strategy, ensuring enterprise blockchain solutions are robust, secure, and scalable. This position requires a seasoned leader with expertise in test automation, CI/CD integration, and multi-cloud quality assurance (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle Cloud). You will lead a globally distributed QA team, optimize test automation processes, and establish best practices for validating decentralized systems.

The role spans the entire software development lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on automated testing, security assessments, and performance validation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high-performance blockchain applications and will play a key role in maintaining compliance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for blockchain-based enterprise applications.
• Design and deploy automated testing frameworks to improve software reliability and testing efficiency.
• Integrate testing processes within CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and seamless releases.
• Validate blockchain infrastructure, including consensus mechanisms, transaction integrity, and smart contracts.
• Ensure quality assurance across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
• Conduct scalability, performance, and security testing for high-throughput blockchain infrastructures.
• Lead and mentor a globally distributed QA team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with security, regulatory, and industry best practices in blockchain and financial applications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed QA best practices into the development cycle.
• Oversee bug tracking, triage, and reporting processes, driving efficiency and product quality improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD-driven QA using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, or Drone.
• Proven background in multi-cloud testing (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Oracle Cloud).
• Experience in blockchain QA, including validating nodes, transaction processing, and consensus mechanisms.
• Deep knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling) for high-throughput systems.
