We've just secured our Series A funding and are proud to be part of Notion Capital's portfolio. We've already influenced immense change in the UK markets and have personally alreadyseen tremendous growth, with over £170 million of product transacted through the platform and increased annual sales by 1,000% since early 2023.

To date we're proud to say that we've deployed over £114m of funding in support of UK wine and spirits producers. As we look to expand our offering globally we're looking for ambitious builders that want to change an industry and be part of the journey with us.

We're first to market and intend to stay ahead of the game! In short, it's the perfect time to join as we aim for unicorn and beyond

The Role:

Our platform is experiencing explosive growth and requires ongoing architecture upgrades to handle the ever increasing complexity, all while delivering new features at a rapid pace. As our first and Lead QA Engineer you will be responsible for testing and holding our engineers accountable for producing great code. We're looking for someone who wants to be hands on, build great practices from 0 and lead the charge when it comes to everything testing!

Our product is like a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle-except the pieces are finance, logistics, and industrial processes. You'll need to quickly get up to speed and see the big picture. We're on the hunt for a talented and ambitious individual ready to tackle hard challenges and enjoy the rewarding career that comes with being part of a fast-growing company with a grand vision and a killer product.

As we grow the function, you'll be involved in hiring, mentoring, and nurturing a culture that's collaborative, ambitious, and laser-focused on results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build Automation Frameworks: design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks from scratch to streamline testing processes and enhance product quality.
  • Identify use cases and create detailed test plans: define test strategies; and develop test cases to validate software design through both manual and automated tests.
  • Collaborate: closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance practices seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
  • Implement continuous testing practices: within CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid yet reliable software releases.
  • Define and monitor key quality metrics to assess test effectiveness, efficiency, and overall product quality, using insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated with emerging testing tools, trends, and methodologies, and advocate for their adoption to enhance existing systems and processes.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or above) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar discipline.
  • Proficient with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, TypeScript, or similar).
  • 5+ years of relevant, broad QA and software engineering experience, with prior experience working as part of a growth-focused team being a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and prioritization skills, with a strong ability to deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Passionate about working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as these are our clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and implementing test automation frameworks from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, with a track record of driving quality initiatives in an agile development environment.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and integrating automated tests within them.
Our Tech Stack:

We're very tech agnostic when it comes to the engineers we bring on board to the team. For us it's all about having strong foundations and the ability to produce great code so don't be deterred if you don't have experience in the following:
  • TypeScript: React.js (FE) / Node.js (BE)
  • Java
  • Python
  • AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Modulised Monolith
