Client Server Ltd. in London is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design and lead backend services, focusing on Python, FastAPI, and Azure Databricks.

You will remain hands-on while guiding a small to medium technical team, defining technical requirements, architecture, and collaborating with Product Owners. The role is hybrid with three days in the London office, offering a salary up to £110k plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and mentoring small to medium technical teams.
• Strong Python backend engineering skills.
• Experience building FastAPI services.
• Good knowledge of Azure.
• Experience with data at scale.
• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL, SQL Server); Azure Databricks preferred.
• Solid CS fundamentals: data structures, design patterns, OOP.
• Collaborative and pragmatic with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
• Define technical requirements aligned with business objectives.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and designs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise tasks.
