Lead Psychologist

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Principal Psychologist in an exceptional small hospital based in the Harleston, Norfolk area. You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers.

About the Role

This is a community locked rehabilitation hospital for women with a history of offending/challenging behaviour who have learning disabilities (LD) and other conditions including autistic spectrum disorders, personality disorders, and mental illnesses.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be a HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist with Forensic experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Undertake specialist clinical duties contributing to assessment and treatment of patients.
2. Provide psychological therapies for patients with personality disorder, mental disorder, intellectual disability, and complex trauma, including developing psychological formulations and assessments, and implementing interventions.
3. Provide specialist psychological assessments based on complex data analysis, interpretation, and integration.
4. Administer and interpret assessments of cognitive and emotional functioning to assist diagnosis and treatment planning.
5. Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group treatments based on theoretical and therapeutic models.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience or interest in rehabilitation and recovery in a forensic setting.
• Skills in individual and group work and program planning.
• Use of complex psychological assessment methods.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, especially with sensitive information.

Salary and Benefits

The successful Principal Psychologist will receive an excellent salary of £29,125 per annum. This is a permanent part-time role working 18.5 hours a week. Benefits include:
