Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Lead Psychologist to join one of our private clients in the Oldham area. This hospital provides specialist mental health care for deaf men with complex communication needs.

As Lead Psychologist, you'll deliver individual and group interventions, complete diagnostic and cognitive assessments, contribute to MDT working, and lead on robust risk assessments. You'll also support the development of therapeutic initiatives, enhance service user engagement, and supervise a Psychology Assistant.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the psychology service and contribute to hospital governance alongside the multidisciplinary team
  • Deliver assessments, interventions, and staff training to support high-quality care
  • Drive service development through evidence-based initiatives and innovation
  • Support recruitment, supervision, and policy development to enhance staff safety and clinical practice
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve care pathways and service user outcomes

What we're looking for:

  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist and eligibility for BPS Chartership
  • Completed a recognised doctoral training programme in Applied Psychology
  • Experience working with complex needs and trauma-informed care
  • Ability to supervise staff and contribute to service development
