Job summary

A leading organisation in the Nuclear industry is seeking a Lead Project Planner to join their Operations team. This role involves managing a team of Project Planners, creating and maintaining project schedules using P6, and ensuring timely updates aligned with project changes. The successful candidate will enjoy a rewarding work environment and benefit from 33 days of annual leave along with a discretionary bonus. An ideal fit would have commercial experience and be eligible for SC clearance.

Lead Project Planner, Nuclear, COR7304

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Lead Project Planner to join a pioneering organisation within the Nuclear sector.

The Role

Joining the Operations team, the Lead Project Planner will line manage a small team of Project Planners, and will work with internal and external suppliers to establish new schedules to support bid activities and scope changes. Outside of the line management responsibilities, the Lead Project Planner will use P6 to produce, maintain, and develop project schedules and plans, including key project milestones for client deliverables, design materials, and sub-contractors.

Once projects are live, the Lead Project Planner will ensure the plan is kept up to date with any agreed changes to scope – as directed by the Project Management team. They will monitor progress (including sub-contractors) against plans and schedules, attend project meetings, and present progress reports to the client. The successful Project Planner will need to be eligible for SC Clearance.

The successful Lead Project Planner will work on a hybrid basis, visiting the Warrington office 2 days per week, though travel to other sites may be required on an ad hoc basis.
