A client based in the Hampshire area is seeking a Lead Project Manager (Highways Technology) to manage a team focused on complex projects within the highways technology sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing project deliverables, ensuring quality outputs, and maintaining client communications. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in project management methodologies and a strong background in the highways industry, offering a salary between £70,000 and £75,000 annually, with home-based flexibility and regular office visits.
Lead Project Manager (Highways Technology)
The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Lead Project Manager to oversee a team consisting of six project managers, associate project managers and project coordinators who are delivering a variety of complex projects for the Highways Technology sector.
You will work at both project and programme level, taking responsibility for ensuring your direct reports outputs are delivered to the expected quality while also providing them support, training and routes of escalation where required.
You will be able to work to relevant project management methodologies (APM, Prince2) for larger projects, whilst also working in a flexible manner for smaller ones.
This is a key client facing role within the business, and you will be expected to provide regular reports and updates on project progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
Location: Home-Based with bi-weekly office visits to Southampton
Earnings: 70,000 to 75,000 per year
