Job summary

e-STORAGE, part of the Canadian Solar Inc. family, is seeking a Project Manager to lead battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in a hybrid UK environment.

You will coordinate with internal teams, clients, vendors, EPCs and contractors to deliver turnkey projects, requiring strong negotiation, scheduling and risk management skills. The role reports to the Project Director and sits within the Project Implementation and Operations department.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in managing construction projects (utility scale renewables preferred).
• Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management and consensus-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity (budget, schedule, scope, resources).
• Serve as primary point-of-contact with customers, subcontractors and partners.
• Develop project plans, assign tasks, monitor progress and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate communication across organization affecting scope, budget and resources.
• Recruit additional staff or consultants during project cycle as necessary.
• Prepare and review status reports and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Define success criteria and disseminate them to stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor project team members and contractors.
