Job description

AA Euro Group is currently recruiting for a Lead Project Manager on behalf of a major power and renewables contractor. This is a permanent role based in Glasgow, with a focus on substation projects across the Greater Glasgow region.

The Role:
As the Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of high-value substation projects, from planning through to completion. This is a pivotal role offering long-term career prospects with a growing industry leader in the power and renewables space.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery for electrical infrastructure projects, particularly substations.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Manage client and stakeholder relationships to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and direct on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain high performance and safety standards.
  • Monitor project milestones and ensure all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in power and renewables projects, with a strong track record managing substation works.
  • Electrical engineering background or significant electrical project exposure is essential.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication abilities.
  • Relevant engineering or project management qualifications (e.g., HND/Degree, PMP/PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
