Lead Project Manager

Location: Cheltenham (One day a week)

Salary: Up to £80,000 base salary plus bonus

VIQU has partnered with a leading FTSE100 company seeking a Lead Project Manager to support an ongoing digital transformation. The Lead Project Manager will oversee a team of four project managers, focusing on Application (ERP/SaaS) and Infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate must have prior experience as a line manager, be comfortable delivering projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies, and have a proven track record of delivering projects such as Dynamics 365, ERP systems, Application integration, Warehouse Management Systems, and SaaS implementations.

Responsibilities:

• Line manage a team of four project engineers, including developing the team, setting KPIs, conducting 1-2-1 meetings, and ensuring project delivery.
• Standardize project management processes and define a clear methodology for project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to best practices across projects.
• Support complex Application and Infrastructure projects, tracking timelines, risks, and budgets.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Experience managing a team of project managers on complex technical projects.
• Experience establishing standardized project management processes or setting up a Centre of Excellence.
• Proven experience delivering complex application and IT infrastructure projects.
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to gain stakeholder buy-in.
