Job summary

Altrad Services A/S in Renfrew is seeking a Project Engineer to lead testing and equipment qualification projects across a range of engineering applications. The role combines technical expertise with project leadership in a dynamic testing environment.

You will design bespoke test rigs, specify instrumentation and data acquisition systems, and manage safety, quality and delivery to meet client requirements.

Qualifications

• BEng (2:1 Hons) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, structural design.
• Experience delivering engineering projects and producing technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of testing, instrumentation, and data acquisition is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing and equipment qualification projects from tender through to completion.
• Design and develop bespoke test rigs and test setups.
• Manage project safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Specify instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Analyse test data and produce technical reports.
• Lead project kick-offs, toolbox talks, and stakeholder engagement.
