About the role

The purpose of a Lead Project Coordinator is to be the focal point for all coordination tasks and the main point of contact for customer service enquiries on the DNP&P contract. You will handle problems and customer enquiries, relay information to relevant departments, and support Project Managers with administrative tasks to ensure project delivery timescales are met.

Previous experience in Line Management and leading a team within a fast-paced business (ideally within the Utilities sector) is required, as you will oversee projects, manage multiple priorities, and ensure smooth delivery of key objectives.

A good level of commercial knowledge, relationship management, and networking skills are essential. Financial awareness is also key, as you will forecast, deliver, and meet targets to ensure continuous improvement, including BMoCS (Broad Measure of Customer Service) as per OFGEM requirements, PO process, and EGS contract requirements.

As a Lead Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist project managers with planned outages and UKPN scrap management, create reports, and take meeting minutes with clients.
  • Oversee labour scheduling to ensure timely and efficient work, driving resource utilization and profitability.
  • Maximize and ensure profitability of directly employed teams while meeting client program requirements.
  • Proactively monitor team output daily, address deviations, and implement improvements to meet utilization and revenue targets.
  • Schedule teams to meet project requirements and minimize unproductive time.
  • Liaise with Project Coordinators for quoting and oversee PO processes.
  • Provide commercial support to Project Managers and the Commercial department.
  • Monitor KPIs and report on customer feedback and performance metrics for client meetings.

About you

Previous experience in Line Management and leading teams in a fast-paced environment (preferably within the Utilities sector) is essential. You should have strong commercial knowledge, relationship management skills, and financial awareness to forecast, deliver, and meet targets for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • ILM Level 3 or working towards ILM Level 5 / Project Management Prince 2
  • Advanced Excel experience
