Job summary

Greenjets Limited is seeking a Team Lead Production Technician in Wolverton. You will lead a small team of 4–8 technicians, ensuring daily production targets are met safely and with high quality.

You’ll spend time hands-on on the shop floor, coordinate work, remove obstacles and mentor others to develop skills and wellbeing. You should bring experience from manufacturing or engineering environments, strong technical assembly capability, and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production or assembly environments.
• Strong hands-on technical or mechanical assembly capability.
• Experience leading or coordinating small teams.
• Good understanding of production processes, quality standards and safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and prioritise.
• Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• High levels of accountability, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and coordinate a team of 4–8 Production Technicians during daily operations.
• Set clear expectations around quality, productivity, safety and behaviours.
• Monitor production progress and adjust priorities to meet delivery targets.
• Own daily output, identify risks early and escalate as needed.
• Maintain right-first-time manufacturing and product quality.
• Work hands-on with the team, assisting assembly and troubleshooting.
• Act as first point of escalation for production, technical and people issues.
• Keep production areas organised, clean and efficient.
• Identify tooling, equipment or resource gaps and drive resolution.
• Promote proper use, maintenance and accountability of tools/assets.
• Uphold high standards of health, safety, attendance and teamwork.
• Coach and support team members, fostering a positive high-performance culture.
• Support continuous improvement activities to boost productivity and quality.
