Job summary

IMI plc is seeking a Production Planner to join the production team. You will lead scheduling on the shop floor, ensuring correct materials are available at the right time and customer orders are fulfilled on time in full.

A strong background in production planning and experience with MRP/ERP tools will be essential. The role requires close collaboration with Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA, Sales and Contracts, with a focus on accurate lead times and efficient schedule management across

Qualifications

Extensive production planning and master scheduling background in engineering manufacturing.
Numerate and IT literate with a good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages to analyse performance statistics and deliver reports.
Demonstrable track record within a production and planning team with strong experience and knowledge of MRP/ERP tools and systems.
Methodical and organised with a high level of attention to detail.
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and target focussed.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule production on the shop floor to ensure on-time delivery.
Control Master Schedule within fixed periods aligned to materials availability and capacity.
Use planning tools (MRP, ERP, Preactor) to ensure deliveries are met.
Create production works orders and upcoming material requisitions.
Monitor progress of orders to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
Maintain accurate lead times for manufacturing processes and communicate to SOP and sales teams.
Collaborate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, QA, Sales and Contracts.
