Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting for a senior supervisory role in the UK manufacturing sector. You will lead a mechanical production team, plan schedules, and ensure strict safety and quality standards are met across all projects with a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvements, manage resources efficiently, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to implement enhancements while supporting staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or leadership role within mechanical production or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes, fabrication / tooling, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and Lean Manufacturing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of mechanical production staff to meet and exceed production targets and quality standards.
• Plan and organise production schedules to optimise workflow and resource utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality assurance procedures, and company policies.
• Monitor and analyse production metrics, identifying areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and implement enhancements.
• Support training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and knowledge.
