Job summary

Baker Hughes in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, seeks a Lead Product Planner to own the large subsea project schedule and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery. You will coordinate with engineering, procurement and manufacturing, translate status into actionable actions, and report progress to the project manager.

The role requires a degree in a relevant field, strong planning expertise (Primavera P6), and proven leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in planning, preferably in oil and gas/subsea or large‑scale mechanical manufacturing or controls equipment environments.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for collaboration with planners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling Management: overall project schedule management, ensuring quality and accuracy of dates, logic, and scope reflection.
  • Coordinating: collaboration with other planners and with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to maintain schedule quality and accuracy.
  • Supporting Project Management: providing visibility through look‑aheads, risk and mitigation actions, and opportunities in the schedule.
  • Reporting: produce relevant reports that give the project manager the tools to decide and drive execution.
  • Customer Interaction: provide schedule updates and explain current status, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Process Adherence: adhere to approved processes and drive implementation of new initiatives for fully integrated planning.

Lead Product Planner

As Lead Product Planner you will be in charge of planning a large subsea project and will ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery. The position reports to the Materials Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling Management: overall project schedule management, ensuring quality and accuracy of dates, logic, and scope reflection.
  • Coordinating: collaboration with other planners and with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to maintain schedule quality and accuracy.

  • Ability to understand project status and link the schedule to execution reality.
  • Strong understanding of risks and opportunities in the schedule and skill to drive actions.
  • Expertise in planning large projects and using Primavera P6.
  • High energy and motivation to deliver and make a difference.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for collaboration with planners and stakeholders.
