About the role

Our Product Management team is laser-focused on delivering great user experiences, grounded in a deep understanding of user needs through research, data analysis, and market insight.

We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to take ownership of a strategically important domain — one that spans multiple product areas and underpins key experiences across our platform. You'll work closely with AI and engineering team members on a day-to-day basis, shaping the strategic direction of your domain and enabling the delivery of compelling, data-informed user experiences.

You’ll thrive here if you enjoy navigating complexity, collaborating across disciplines, and delivering meaningful outcomes at scale.

This role also includes line management responsibility for one or more Product Managers, supporting their growth and professional development. You’ll also assist the Director of Product in driving alignment across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Product/SLT to define and deliver a strategic product roadmap for your domain, driven by data, user research and market insight
  • Manage and mentor other Product Managers, supporting their growth, unblocking their challenges, and driving alignment across your domain and others
  • Create and maintain a prioritised product backlog parallel tracking discovery and delivery
  • Define, track and measure OKRs ensuring tangible improvement to performance metrics
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture grounded in data and customer insight, balancing experimentation with pragmatic delivery
  • Create a strong voice-of-customer feedback loop for your domain, ensuring user needs are understood and surpassed
  • Create user stories and acceptance criteria for your cross-functional Product team to build against
  • Build strong relationships across engineering, design, commercial, marketing, and data teams - collaborating effectively to prioritise and execute against the roadmap
  • Provide strong stakeholder management, clearly communicating priorities, progress, trade-offs and opportunities
  • Act as a role model, actively contributing to a positive working culture within Product & Design

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in product management, with a proven track record of owning and delivering high-impact, scalable solutions that drive commercial and customer value
  • Experience defining product roadmaps driven by data, user research and market insight
  • Proven expertise in developing voice-of-customer feedback loops and usability testing to inform product improvements
  • Experienced at analysing data, running A/B tests and tracking product performance to drive measurable improvements in OKRs, with a strong commercial skill set
  • Strong product prioritisation skills, with a tool kit of prioritisation models such as RICE and MoSCow
  • Deep empathy for customer needs with a proven track record of reducing friction, simplifying user journeys and reducing cognitive load
  • Confident working with change and ambiguity, able to balance high level strategic thinking and technical detail
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a clear understanding of business drivers and success metrics
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills - able to bring diverse perspectives together towards a shared vision
  • Experience leading and mentoring Product Managers, creating empowerment and enabling them to succeed
  • An understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including supervised & unsupervised learning, LLMs, generative models, etc.
  • Demonstrable data literacy skills, ability to manipulate and interpret datasets unaided, including experiment results.
  • Strong technical grounding, able to comfortably have conversations with engineering colleagues on technical subjects.
  • Experience with search technology, recruitment tech or marketplaces is a plus, but not essential.
  • Hybrid working as standard
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Paid time off to move home
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Enhanced family leave benefits
  • Insurance benefits including life assurance
  • Discount schemes including gyms and popular retailers
  • Range of wellbeing and mental health support avenues
  • Office in a fantastic location, with countless bars, restaurants and theatres right on the doorstep
  • These are just some great benefits we offer everyone working at Reed.co.uk!
