Job summary

Albany Growth is hiring a technical product manager to own internal tooling across Ops, CX, Compliance, Sales and Finance. You will identify AI and automation opportunities, translate workflows into specs, and prototype with Claude Code alongside engineers. You will report to senior leadership and drive adoption through workshops.

This is a first dedicated tooling PM in a genuinely AI-native fintech. London, Hybrid (2/3 days in office).

Qualifications

• A technical product management background, ideally rooted in engineering.
• Shipped AI powered or automation products in production, with evidence.
• Ownership of tools used by non technical internal teams such as ops, CX or back office.
• Hunger to build something from scratch rather than manage an inherited roadmap.
• Experience in fintech, health tech or a regulated environment is a bonus.
• Familiarity with agentic workflows, LLM integration or platforms like Zapier or Make is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the internal tooling roadmap from strategy through to delivery.
• Run discovery with non technical stakeholders and translate complex workflows into buildable specs.
• Identify and prioritise AI and automation opportunities that structurally shift how the business operates.
• Work hands on alongside engineers using Claude Code to prototype and shape solutions.
• Represent the function to senior leadership and founders.
• Deliver enablement and run workshops to drive adoption of new tools across internal teams.
• Expand scope over time across CX, Compliance, Sales and Finance as you prove value in Ops.

Albany Growth are partnered with a scaling fintech on a mission to improve financial wellbeing for everyday workers across the UK. Their platform is used by millions of people through some of the UK's largest employers. They are VC backed, growing fast and every product decision is anchored to a genuine social purpose.

Their product investment has historically gone into customer facing products. Internal teams across Operations, CX, Compliance and Finance have been underserved. This is the first dedicated PM hire to change that.

The brief is to identify where AI and agentic automation can structurally reduce headcount growth, not just add efficiency at the margins. This is a land and expand model with real scope to define what this function becomes.

What you will be doing:

• Own the internal tooling roadmap from strategy through to delivery
• Run discovery with non technical stakeholders and translate complex workflows into buildable specs
