Job summary

Tedd Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Lead Product Engineer to own the technical direction of its electronic control systems for heavy machinery, from concept to field use and lifecycle retirement.

You will translate customer requirements into robust, manufacturable products and lead cross-functional teams, maintaining ownership and accountability across the product portfolio. This hands-on role is fully office-based with access to lab and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in machine control system design.
• Experience across product lifecycle stages (design through to field use).
• Ability to work directly with customers in a technical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers during new and existing product development.
• Translate customer requirements into clear inputs for electronics and embedded teams.
• Lead ownership of products across the full lifecycle, ensuring traceability and clear documentation.
• Support design reviews and challenge where necessary, driving corrective actions.
• Monitor product performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and usability.
