Job description

Lead Product Analyst

Department: Data & Analytics

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: London

Description

Location: hybrid in-office 2 days per week. Mainly in our London (Tower Bridge) office, with every other Wednesday in our office in Fleet (Hampshire).

Tempcover is at the forefront of the fast-growing world of short term insurance. Our mission is to make car insurance flexible, quick, and easy for drivers. We’ve sold millions of policies that have helped drivers get where they need to go, but we’re not finished there. We’re growing our team to help us continue in that mission. If you are extraordinary at what you do and want to be a part of a rapidly growing business at the cutting edge of the InsurTech industry, we would love to hear from you.

The role:

As a Lead Analyst within a product team, your input will be crucial in driving business impact and decision-making by bridging the gap between data and insight. We are looking for a hands-on analytical thought leader who will help the team make great data-driven decisions. You will identify opportunities for deep analytics on customer behaviour and site performance, working with the multi-disciplinary members of the team, as well as other key people and stakeholders from across the business.

  • Analyze why customers purchase temporary insurance and how to better serve high-value returning customers through improved segmentation, targeting, and tailored experiences.
  • Identify key drop-off points in our funnel across platforms and recommend effective ways to improve conversion.
  • Evaluate the performance of different pricing or product models across segments and understand drivers of long-term value.
  • Explore patterns in returning customer behaviour across platforms and assess how incentives influence their likelihood to return.
  • Understand how returning customers behave across different platforms (web vs app), their return frequency, and the impact of incentives like reminders, discounts, or referral rewards.

You’ll join our product team working on user-facing journeys and experiences that power the business.

You’ll derive strategic insights from digital marketing, user experience, and commercial data to inform business strategy, marketing investment, and funnel optimization, thereby improving customer experience and business outcomes.

You’ll work with modern tools and databases—including Google Analytics, SQL, Amplitude, PowerBI, and Python—to address various challenges. Typical projects include:

  • Establishing the foundation for product analytics at Tempcover, including event tracking, platform insights, and user behaviour analysis.
  • Investigating customer segments and behaviours to support pricing, targeting, fraud detection, and product development decisions.
  • Modelling and tracking customer return behaviour across products and platforms.
  • Analyzing and improving digital marketing and consumer journeys.
  • Designing and evaluating A/B tests to enhance customer experience and conversion rates.
  • Supporting the design and analysis of growth initiatives like referral schemes or loyalty programs.
  • Exploring data for new insights and recommendations across customer behaviour, product usage, and performance trends.
  • Collaborating with teams across the business to foster data-driven decision making.
  • Monitoring key business metrics and communicating insights to stakeholders.
What we look for:
  • Experience in digital/web analytics, A/B testing, and digital product optimization.
  • Proven track record of influencing business decisions and impact.
  • Strong technical skills with analytical tools such as SQL, Python/R, PowerBI/Tableau, Amplitude, and Google Analytics or Fullstory.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders, prioritize high-value work, and communicate complex results clearly.
  • Collaborative mindset, eager to support others, learn, and focus on actionable insights.

Don’t worry if you don’t meet every requirement — we value learning and growth!

Our commitment to you:

At RVU, we are dedicated to developing inclusive, valuable, and user-friendly products that benefit all our customers. We believe in reflecting the diversity of our community and fostering an open, inclusive environment.

What we offer:

We aim to provide a supportive work environment, opportunities for personal and professional growth, and benefits to enhance your experience, including:

  • 10% discretionary yearly bonus and annual pay reviews based on performance.
  • A hybrid work model with 2 in-office days per week and up to 22 days remote work per year.
  • Employer matching pension contributions up to 7.5%.
  • A £300 one-off 'Work from Home' budget.
  • Comprehensive leave policies including maternity, paternity, shared parental, and adoption leave.
  • Starting with 25 days holiday, increasing to 30 with tenure, plus 2 'My Time' days annually.
  • Private medical, critical illness cover, and employee assistance programs.
  • A learning and training budget.
  • Electric vehicle and cycle-to-work schemes.
  • Regular social and company-wide events to foster community.
