You will lead the procurement function to ensure value for money and adherence to the Principles of the Commissioning Framework.
You will oversee procurement projects valued between £25 to £75 million annually, aligned with the department’s strategy. Ensure a sustainable supply base capable of delivering goods, works, and services for the Council.
You will contribute early procurement input into service specifications and sourcing plans, and ensure effective collaboration across all organizational areas, including with commissioners, operational staff, quality monitoring, and finance. You must lead efficient procurement processes compliant with Public Procurement legislation and the Council’s Contract Procedure Rules.
You will support the Category Manager in enhancing procurement practices and standards.
You will report to a Category Manager and supervise up to 6 Procurement Officers and 3 Procurement Support Officers.
