Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to lead process design for major water and wastewater schemes across all project phases. You will ensure designs meet standards and work with commercial, operational and construction teams to deliver practical solutions.

The role involves client engagement, technical reviews, and mentoring of junior engineers, with on-site travel to sites in the South West region as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Process Engineering or related field.
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of process engineering on projects.
• Provide design support and guidance for schemes and ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop safe, practical solutions.
• Engage with the client and manage relationships with a one-team approach.
• Coordinate interfaces and integrate process design with other disciplines.
• Act as technical checker on project documents and perform reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery and implement standard designs.
• Undertake site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
• Support development of the process engineering team through mentoring.
