Job summary

Thermulon, London-based, is scaling from pilot to commercial production and seeking a Lead Process Engineer to own capital projects and drive technology transfer into full-scale plants. You will mentor a small team, own PFDs/P&IDs, and lead safety and economic analyses with sign-off accountability.

Role requires hands-on chemical/process engineering leadership, mobility to visit UK/European sites, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a small lean organisation.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on chemical process experience with capital projects.
• Experience transferring technology from lab/pilot to production.
• Strong track record delivering scale-up and process engineering outputs.
• Ability to mentor and lead a small team of engineers.
• Mobility to work across UK/Europe sites during build/commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Own capital projects from design through commissioning and handover.
• Lead process engineering deliverables: PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances.
• Drive safety by design; participate in HAZIDs/HAZOPs and close actions.
• Mentor team, manage documentation, and coordinate with partners.
• Sign-off techno-economic analyses and maintain MC/MOC registers.
