Lead Polyolefins Engineer – Permanent Expat Tax Free

We are recruiting expatriates in the Middle East for a role with a Global Operator.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Uphold and drive improvements in operational and design standards across polyolefin production facilities.
  2. Stay informed on developments in polyolefin technologies and contribute to ongoing R&D initiatives.
  3. Support the technical and economic evaluation of polyolefin projects to ensure informed decision-making.
  4. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and develop innovative technical solutions, balancing performance with risk considerations.
  5. Engage in a collaborative environment, sharing insights and best practices.
  6. Analyze and compare polymer products from various process technologies to guide improvements and innovations.
  7. Mentor less experienced engineers and specialists to foster technical growth.
Candidate Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field; a master’s degree is advantageous.
  2. Over 20 years of experience in the petrochemical sector, with at least 7 years focused on polyolefin operations, technical services, and technology oversight.
  3. Strong understanding of polyolefin production processes, including HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, and polypropylene.
  4. Experience with key production methods such as gas phase and slurry phase polymerization.
  5. Familiarity with leading licensors of polyolefin technologies is desirable.
  6. Proven ability to collaborate across departments like R&D, technical support, and engineering to meet technical and commercial goals.
  7. Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  8. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
