Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer with strong offshore brownfield experience to join a leading consultancy supporting major oil and gas developments across the Middle East and UK. This is a great expat opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys delivering value across all phases of complex offshore projects-from early studies through to detailed design and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and deliver process engineering work across conceptual, FEED, and detailed design phases of offshore brownfield projects.

- Perform and manage process simulations, system modelling, and engineering studies to define modifications or enhancements.

- Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, design calculations, and reports.

- Plan and participate in key safety studies including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and LOPA.

- Support development of philosophies (operating, control, flare, etc.) and key process deliverables.

- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, instrumentation, and safety engineering functions.

- Interact with clients, vendors, and third-party contractors to ensure alignment with scope and schedule.

- Support offshore surveys and provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning when required.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (Master's preferred).

- Minimum 15 years of process engineering experience in the oil & gas sector.

- Strong background in offshore brownfield projects including concept development and detailed engineering.

- Proven ability to lead process studies and manage safety reviews.

- Experience working with consultancies or operators, ideally in the Middle East.

- Proficient in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, or equivalent.

- Strong working knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO, IEC).

- Excellent communication and report writing skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions.
