Job summary

Lumentum is a world leader in semiconductor and photonic device manufacturing. The Staff Process Development Engineer will contribute to new process development, NPIs, scrap reduction, cycle-time improvements, and provide operational support at Caswell site.

You will work across thin film deposition, metal deposition, backend wafer processing, and collaborate with Product Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing and R&D to transfer technology and improve yield.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or higher in a related engineering/technical field.
• Experience in semiconductor or photonics environments is desirable.
• Familiarity with SPC, DOE, Six Sigma, Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve production processes.
• Develop and qualify new semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Analyse process data using SPC, Six Sigma, and statistical methods.
• Lead equipment qualification and cross-qualification activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and training materials.
• Ensure equipment availability through process control and monitoring.
• Support product introductions and technology transfer.
• Drive yield improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
