A leading engineering firm seeks 2 Lead/Principal Electrical Engineers for a hybrid contracting role in Manchester. Candidates will work on high voltage systems in the chemical or water industries. Ideal applicants will have relevant experience and must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

Job description

Lead/Principal Electrical Engineers

Our client in Manchester is currently looking for 2 Lead/Principal Electrical Engineers, the position will be offering hybrid working with 2 or 3 days in the offices based in Manchester and the rest working from home. This will be a contracting position that can be worked Outside of IR35 and will be either in the Chemical industry or the Water industry dependant on which industry applicants feel more comfortable with.

Your responsibilities will include the following, electrical discipline technical input for projects and/or proposals; this will include preparation, checking and/or approval of engineering documentation. Ensuring all applicable national and international codes of practice, legislation and company/client standards and procedures are complied with. preparing installation scopes of work, reviewing suppliers quotations and preparing technical bid assessments.

The client will be looking for candidates that have experience in HV (33kV and below) system design, HV protection systems including protection schematics, grading studies and protection setting schedules, detailed design of plants with large electrical networks as well as being able to perform earthing calculations and system designs.
