Overview

Lead/Principal Electrical Engineers

Our client in Manchester is currently looking for 2 Lead/Principal Electrical Engineers. The position offers hybrid working with 2 or 3 days in the Manchester office and the rest from home. This is a contracting position that can be Outside of IR35 and will be in the Chemical industry or the Water industry depending on which industry applicants are more comfortable with.

Responsibilities
  • Electrical discipline technical input for projects and/or proposals, including preparation, checking and/or approval of engineering documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable national and international codes of practice, legislation and company/client standards and procedures.
  • Prepare installation scopes of work, review supplier quotations and prepare technical bid assessments.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experience in HV (33 kV and below) system design, HV protection systems including protection schematics, grading studies and protection setting schedules.
  • Detailed design of plants with large electrical networks and the ability to perform earthing calculations and system designs.
  • Candidate must already have the right to work in the UK and must be eligible for SC clearance if required for the project.
