Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is placing Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) in primary schools across Barnet on an ongoing basis. You will cover planned teacher absence, lead lessons across a range of subjects, deliver targeted group interventions and support curriculum delivery under the direction of the class teacher and senior leadership.

You will use your strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills to maintain high expectations and progress, adapt resources for different learners

Qualifications

• HLTA status is essential.
• Substantial primary classroom experience in a TA/HLTA role.
• Confidence delivering whole-class lessons across core subjects.
• Strong subject knowledge in English and mathematics at primary level.
• Experience delivering group interventions and supporting pupils with SEND.
• Excellent communication and professional standards.
• Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Cover planned teacher absence and lead lessons across subjects.

• Contribute to pupil assessment and feedback under leadership guidance.
