Job summary

The Learning Experience in Chester is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten teacher to create a safe, nurturing classroom and deliver the L.E.A.P. Curriculum. You will engage families and partner with staff to support enrollment and student growth.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Early Childhood Education (or related) and have 2+ years of teaching experience; CPR/First Aid is preferred. Competitive salary and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional teaching experience preferred; at least one year of professional teaching experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related degree preferred.
• High school diploma or minimum of an Associate's degree in ECE or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; meet state-specific guidelines and certifications for the role.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
• Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum, working with Kindergarten children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Plan and present effective lesson plans and teaching strategies for Kindergarten students.
• Utilize a variety/range of learning modalities in each lesson.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
