One Health Group is seeking a Clinical Lead for the pre-assessment service at the OHG Surgical Hub in Scunthorpe. You will lead the pre-assessment team, ensure thorough pre-operative assessment for elective hip, knee and spinal surgery, and collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and physiotherapists.
The role requires current NMC registration, significant surgical pre-assessment experience, and governance oversight.
Competenze
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Significant experience in a surgical environment.
- Experience in a pre-operative assessment or surgical optimisation service.
- Leadership/management or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
- Experience caring for patients undergoing major orthopaedic surgery (hip/knee) and spinal procedures.
Mansioni
- Provide visible clinical leadership within the pre-assessment service.
- Lead and support the pre-assessment nursing team.
- Ensure thorough and timely pre-operative assessment for elective surgery.
- Identify and optimise patients needing further investigation or intervention.
- Check medical history, medications, allergies and prior anaesthetic history.
- Facilitate communication between patients, consultants, anaesthetic teams and clinical services.
