Job summary

CrossReach seeks a Lead Practitioner to oversee shifts and provide leadership in a safe, nurturing, therapeutic home for children and young people up to age 21. You will support staff to deliver high-quality care, ensure stability, and promote belonging through relationship-based practice.

The role emphasizes trauma-informed approaches, strong assessment and care plan development, and collaboration with professionals to secure positive outcomes for service users.

Qualifications

• Experience in relationship-based and trauma-informed childcare.
• Ability to lead shifts and support colleagues to deliver high-quality care.
• Understanding of GIRFEC principles and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring the smooth running of the service
• Support colleagues to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care
• Make confident decisions that promote safety and wellbeing
• Develop and review assessments, care plans and risk assessments
