Job summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) in Mexborough seeks a Band 6 Lead Practitioner for Theatres covering podiatry and orthopaedics. The role is permanent and full-time (37.5 hours), with potential 30-hour part-time consideration.

You will demonstrate advanced clinical skills, lead a dual-role team, and contribute to service development. Rotation to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• ODP with HCPC registration or NMC registration with relevant anaesthetic skills.
• Degree or evidence of degree level study.
• ALS training or willingness to complete.
• Evidence of management/leadership courses.
• Experience of 2 years anaesthetic/scrub experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dual role in podiatry and orthopaedics as Band 6 Lead Practitioner.
• Demonstrate recent expert clinical practice with current registration.
• Lead a team and contribute to service development.
• Support development plan and leadership responsibilities.
• Manage department in absence of Band 7; rotation to other sites may be required.
• Undertake advanced life support.
