Are you an exceptional Maths Teacher with a proven track record of outstanding teaching, a desire to influence pedagogical best practice, and seeking a role with a Recruitment & Retention (R&R) allowance? An Outstanding girls' school in Islington is seeking an inspiring Lead Practitioner of Maths for a permanent, full-time position this September, which includes an R&R allowance. This pivotal role involves modelling exemplary teaching, supporting colleagues, and driving innovation in teaching and learning across the Maths department.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be teaching engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (A-level), maintaining consistently high standards of teaching and learning.
  • As Lead Practitioner, you will work with departmental leadership to champion innovative teaching strategies, share expertise, and support the professional development of colleagues in Maths.

  • A deep and current understanding of the Maths curriculum and best pedagogical practices.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and influence colleagues.
  • A commitment to fostering a deep love for mathematics, and a passion for developing both students and staff.
